C and C++ Solutions that allow your existing XVT applications to run over the WEB through a simple recompile

PDF Datasheet

With DSCNETŠ and DSPNETŠ (C++), existing XVT applications can be run over the Web by recompiling existing code. The result is a client/server application where the server executes business functionality and the client renders the presentation layer. The new application is launched from a regular browser that automatically downloads a small thin client. XVT Web applications maintain the look, feel and performance of the native platform, saving XVT users precious development time and money. The customers that use XVT applications benefit by lowering their support costs and providing broad access to their applications over a network.

DSCNET and DSPNET support the following platforms:

  • Windows - NT 4.0, 2000, XP
  • Unix - Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP UX
  • Linux - RedHat, SuSE
  • Macintosh OS X

DSCNET & DSPNET features

Licensing:

  • One license fee per server platform
  • No runtime fees

Communication:

  • From a regular web browser

The XVT Advantage

Lower Development Costs -
With XVT, development efforts are spread across all deployment platforms. No need to rewrite applications for other platforms.

Leverage Programmer Expertise -
Developers only need to be experts on a single platform for development.

Short Learning Curve -
With XVT, programmers only need to learn a single API.

Higher Productivity -
Choose the development platform that's best for the task and maximize development throughput.

Extended Application Life -
The technology independence that XVT offers enables applications to rapidly adapt to any market trend changes.

Focus on Business Applications -
Now, programmers are able to focus on application features and not on platform porting issues or incorporating the latest features for any given platform.

Lowest Cost of Ownership -
Development effort and maintenance is done for a single generic platform, so porting to and maintaining on multiple platforms couldn't be easier.

Broader Market Access -
By supporting all major platforms, an application can reach 80% of the market.

Time to Market -
Because XVT is so robust, development teams can focus on solving customer problems and rapidly deliver mission critical applications.

Higher Revenues and Profits -
Building an application once and porting it quickly to multiple platforms can significantly increase revenues and profits.
