When purchasing an XVT product, you have the option to purchase maintenance for one
year. This is an important consideration when comparing our price with the
prices of our competitors.
Providence provides the following maintenance services:
- Assessment of the scope and severity of each reported error and a time
period within which the problem may be addressed
- Correction of verifiable and reproducible errors
- Access to "Patches" following completion of error correction activities
- Access to new releases
- E-mail, telephone and facsimile services to correct software errors.
Renewing a Maintenance Agreement
Renewing your Maintenance Agreement will ensure that you benefit from the
latest improvements to the XVT products. The cost of an extended maintenance is
30 percent of the base license fee. Extending your Maintenance Agreement
provides you with the following benefits:
- Diagnosis and analysis of XVT-related application issues that you encounter
- Resolution of problems you encounter with the XVT application
- Access to bug fixes as they become available
- Access to major and minor version updates to your licenses as they get
released
- Instant access to the latest documentation on our download site
- Ability to influence the development of new XVT features
Keep in mind that, should you decide not to renew your Maintenance Agreement
but later decide otherwise, a renewal fee will be assessed that depends on the
duration of the maintenance interruption.
