Providence Software Solutions now offers a cross-platform license management solution that is easy to use and less expensive than ever before.

EasyLM is designed for easy integration into your application on all standard platforms (Windows, Unix, Linux and Mac). EasyLM painlessly manages the user pool of your applications and ensures compliance with the terms of your license agreement in a flexible way. It does it with a few simple function calls. The straightforward API allows for quick integration. The included license administration module and network license manager are provided with both command line and graphic user interfaces.

EasyLM provides the following licensing features:

• Product Based Licensing: allows selective access to specific products or application features
• Version and Time Based Licensing: allows locking to a specific software version or by subscription or demonstration bases
• Node Locking Licensing: ensures software will run on only one computer and can be disabled for easy distribution of demos
• Floating Node Licensing: allows the sharing of a usage token amongst multiple networked users

EasyLM has no runtime fees and allows unlimited usage on each supported platform (a separate license is needed for each platform).

EasyLM supports the following platforms:

• Windows - NT 4.0, 2000, XP
• Unix - Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP UX
• Linux - RedHat, SuSE
• Macintosh

Software components

• EasyLM library: contains the license management software; is called from within a software application to verify a license key
• License Manager (GUI and command line version are available): tool used to generate license keys that are sent to your customers
• Token Manager: application program that distributes license keys and is accessed by the EasyLM library when an application needs to be run
• License File: file that contains the key that encapsulates the licensing rights given to customers; this file is sent to customers who purchase the application
