Don Hames, PMP - PRESIDENT
For more than 25 years, Don Hames has exerted leadership influence in the software industry and demonstrated superior technical project management skills. As founder of Providence Software Solutions, he is the driving force behind the company's commitment to quality and close client relationships.
Prior to founding Providence in 1997, Don served as Project Manager for the American Board of Pediatrics, where he designed and wrote their computerized pediatric recertification system, and then overseeing its development and maintenance. Past accomplishments also include establishing and operating an NCR accredited software house. Don holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Campbell University.
Art Mealer - COO
Art's executive experience spans over 20 years in privately held businesses ranging from $90M to $650M, as well as eight years management consulting experience with both start-ups and fortune 500 clients. His detailed operational execution has produced success in achieving entrepreneurial growth, budgetary accountability, and improved profits. Art’s leadership style builds strong team cultures with shared strategic focus, developing unified and enthusiastic organizations that produce outstanding performance and highly satisfied customers.
Broad P/L level business experience includes serving successfully as COO at Wellness Crossroads, Inc., Division General Manager at Husky, Inc., and National Sales & Marketing Manager at Moog, Inc. Art’s technical background included Director of IT with Newton Instruments, where he led over 50 software development projects. His undergraduate work was at SUNY Buffalo in Electronics Technology, and his graduate work in Organizational Leadership was at Regent University in VA.
